Lamai Serengeti | Safari Camp

Lamai Serengeti is a hidden gem, nestled atop the famous Kopje, seamlessly integrated into the rocky terrain characteristic of the Kogatende region in the Serengeti. This part of the Serengeti, in northern Tanzania, offers some of the most naturally stunning landscapes.

The lodge is ingeniously spread out among enormous boulders, offering sweeping views of the plains below. Lamai is most popular when the migrating herds arrive in the Northern Serengeti around late July. From then until the end of October, and sometimes even into November, guests can witness the herds passing by the camp and the famous river crossings at the Mara River, which is located about half an hour away by game drive. However, even when the herds are not present, Lamai remains a remarkable destination. During the shoulder seasons, with fewer visitors in the area, guests can enjoy an abundance of resident wildlife all to themselves, coupled with lower rates, creating the recipe for an unforgettable safari experience.
